1. Introduction

(“we”, “us”, “our”, or “the Company”).    • By continuing to use our website or services, you irrevocably accept these terms and conditions of use. If you do not agree with any part of this Policy, you must immediately discontinue use of our website and services and refrain from providing any personal information.

   • We reserve the right to refuse, edit or remove any content (including User-Generated Content) that is inaccurate, defamatory, obscene, discriminatory, or otherwise in breach of law or this Policy.
   • We reserve the right to disable comments or restrict user interaction features temporarily or permanently without notice for moderation or technical reasons.
   • All advertisements, sponsored articles, or promotional material published or broadcast on any platform operated by the Company shall be clearly identified and distinguished from independent editorial or journalistic content. Such materials are provided for advertising or promotional purposes only and do not represent the opinions, views, or editorial stance of the Company, its management, or its affiliates.
   • The Company shall not be responsible or liable for any claims, statements, or representations made within advertisements or sponsored content. All advertisers and sponsors are solely responsible for ensuring that their material is truthful, lawful, non-misleading, and compliant with the applicable laws of Guyana.
   • The Company shall not be liable for damages or losses arising from reliance on editorial content, opinion pieces, or third-party submissions.

 

4. Acceptable Use
   • You agree not to use the website or any of its services for unlawful purposes, including but not limited to:
     • uploading malicious code, viruses, or harmful data;
     • attempting to gain unauthorised access to any system or data;
     • engaging in conduct that disrupts or impairs the operation of the website or infringes the rights of others.
   • Breach of this clause may result in termination of access, notification to law enforcement authorities, and pursuit of any applicable legal remedies.

   • While the Company implements all reasonable technical, administrative, and physical measures to safeguard your personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Act, no system of storage, transmission, or processing of information can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Accordingly, we shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, or unauthorized access to your data arising from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:
     • cyber-attacks, malware, ransomware, or other malicious acts by third parties;
     • technical failures or interruptions in network or telecommunications services;
     • acts of God, natural disasters, or other force majeure events; or
     • negligence, misuse, or disclosure of information by third parties not acting under the direct authority of the Company.

In such cases, we will take all steps required under the law, including notifying the Data Protection Commissioner and affected individuals, and implementing corrective measures to mitigate any potential impact.

   • By subscribing you consent to receiving communications via your nominated contact number, email or other digital means from us in line with the processing purposes above.

    • You remain solely liable for your submissions, and you indemnify the Company from all liability arising from your content.
