Police probe alleged suicide by Sophia man
Police say they are investigating an alleged suicide committed by Dexter Weekes, 33, a miner of ‘A’ Field Sophia, Greater Georgetown.
Police said that the man’s wife woke up at about 05:30 h Thursday and saw Weekes consuming a liquid substance which appeared to be alcohol.
According to the Police, the wife claimed she was having a conversation with Weekes when she heard a loud explosion and saw a firearm next to his body. Weekes was left lying motionless, Police stated.
The Police are continuing their investigations.
